Resin Fibre Disc 180 x 22mm, Grit 80

Description

The 180mm size of the resin fibre disc we stock in 115mm, from the same 6DD code range. It is a flexible fibre-backed disc coated with aluminium oxide grain, and it has to be fitted to a 180mm rubber backing pad on the grinder, as it has no rigid body of its own.

Grit 80 is a medium grade: it removes rust, mill scale and old paint and blends weld seams, leaving a finish that can be taken further with 100 or 120 grit. The flexible disc follows curved panels better than a rigid grinding disc. Keep the guard on and wear eye protection, gloves and a dust mask.

Used for:

• Rust and paint removal on steel
• Blending welds and fabrication work
• Panel and body repair sanding

Needs a 180mm backing pad; not for use without one.
