Masonry Drill Bit, HQ
Price range: R12.90 through R81.90 incl. VAT
Carbide-tipped HQ masonry drill bits with a round shank, for brick, block and concrete in a hammer drill. Sizes 3 x 60mm to 16 x 160mm.
Description
A range of round-shank masonry drill bits with a tungsten carbide tip brazed into the head, for use in an ordinary hammer drill with a keyed or keyless chuck. The size is the tip diameter x the overall length.
Match the bit to the wall plug: 5 and 6mm for most plugs, 7 and 8mm for heavier plugs and frame fixings, 10mm and up for sleeve anchors and through-holes. Start slowly without hammer to stop the tip walking, then switch to hammer action and pull the bit back regularly to clear the dust. Do not use them on tiles without first drilling through the glaze with a tile bit.
Used for:
- Drilling for wall plugs in brick and block
- Anchors and frame fixings in concrete
- Cable and pipe holes through masonry
Not for SDS chucks or for drilling steel.
Sold each.
