KonstruktIt Hardware – Returns, Exchanges & Refunds Policy

1. Change of mind (unused items)

You may return unused items in their original, undamaged packaging with proof of purchase within 14 days of purchase or delivery for an exchange, credit note or refund.

• Online orders: Under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, you may cancel within 7 days of delivery for any reason, without a penalty. You pay only the direct cost of returning the goods.
• In-store purchases: We accept change-of-mind returns at our discretion. A handling fee of 10% may apply.

2. Defective or faulty goods

Under the Consumer Protection Act, if an item is defective, unsafe or not fit for its purpose, you may return it within 6 months of purchase. You can then choose a repair, a replacement or a full refund. The item will be assessed first. Goods damaged by misuse, incorrect installation, negligence, or normal wear and tear are not covered. Manufacturer guarantees longer than 6 months follow the manufacturer’s terms.

3. Items we cannot accept back (unless defective)

• Paint tinted or mixed to order
• Goods cut to size or length, such as timber, pipe, chain, cable, rope, sheeting and wire mesh
• Special orders and non-stock items brought in on request
• Opened sealants, adhesives, chemicals, fillers and cement products
• Bulk building materials once delivered, such as sand, stone, bricks and cement, unless agreed beforehand
• Personal protective equipment that has been used
• Items with damaged or missing packaging, parts or manuals

4. Wrong item or delivery problems

If you received the wrong item or it arrived damaged, let us know within 48 hours of delivery, with photos if possible. We’ll collect it or replace it at no cost to you.

5. How to return

• In store: Bring the item and your slip to our shop on the corner of Bell and Erasmus Street, Secunda.
• Online: Email admin@konstruktit.co.za or call 017 634 6601 with your order number. We’ll confirm the return and arrange collection or drop-off.

6. Refunds

Approved refunds are paid by the original payment method within 7–10 working days. Cash purchases are refunded in cash or by EFT. Delivery fees are refunded only when the goods were faulty or we sent the wrong item.
