A clear protective cover glass for welding helmets and shields, to protect the dark filter lens from spatter.
Description
A clear cover lens that fits in front of the shaded filter in a welding helmet or hand shield. It takes the spatter and scratches so the more expensive filter glass stays clear, and it is cheap to replace when pitted.
Check that the size matches your helmet before fitting. Replace it as soon as it is pitted or hard to see through. On its own it gives no protection from the arc.
Used for:
- Protecting helmet and shield filter lenses
- Replacing spattered cover glass
- Arc and MIG welding work
Not for: use as an arc filter on its own.
