Steel tee nut, M6 x 10mm, that gives a threaded M6 socket in timber or board for bolts.
Description
A tee nut has a threaded barrel and a flange with prongs. Drill a hole for the barrel, tap the tee nut in from the back so the prongs bite into the wood, then bolt in from the front.
It gives a strong, reusable thread in wood, chipboard and plywood.
Drill the hole the same size as the barrel, and pick a bolt length that reaches through the part into the full barrel.
