Description

A reseater regrinds the brass seat inside a tap body so a new washer can seal properly. If a tap still drips after a new washer, the seat is usually pitted.

Turn off the water supply before starting, and use PTFE tape on threads that do not have their own washer. Remove the headpart, screw the reseater into the body, turn it to cut a clean seat, blow out the filings and refit with a new washer.
