Description

A red nylon reducing tee with female threads, 20mm (3/4″) on the run and 15mm (1/2″) on the branch, for branching a line in cold-water, irrigation and tank work. Nylon fittings do not rust and are light and cheap, but they are weaker than brass, so use them for low-pressure cold water.

Wrap male threads with PTFE tape (about 8–10 turns, with the thread direction) or use a thread sealant, tighten firmly with the right spanner and check for leaks under pressure.

Used for:

• Irrigation and garden branches
• Tank and pump connections
• Cold-water splits

Not for hot water or high-pressure mains.
