KonstruktIt Heavy-Duty PTFE Thread Seal Tape 19mm x 40m

Description

PTFE tape is wrapped around male threads before screwing fittings together, to seal the joint against leaks and make it easier to undo later.

Wrap it clockwise when looking at the end of the thread, so it tightens with the fitting rather than unwinding, and cover the threads with a few overlapping turns. Do not let tape hang over the end of the fitting into the pipe.

The thicker 100 micron tape seals coarse or worn threads in fewer turns, and the 40m roll suits plumbers and contractors.

Used for:

• Threaded water fittings and taps
• Shower arms, valves and geyser fittings
• Compressed air and general threaded joints

Not for gas joints unless the tape is rated for gas.
