KonstruktIt Galvanised Reducing Socket

Description

A galvanised socket with a larger female thread on one end and a smaller one on the other. It joins two male threads of different sizes in a straight line.

Wrap the male threads with PTFE tape and tighten with pipe wrenches.

Galvanising protects the steel against rust.

Hold the pipe behind with a second wrench so it does not turn while you tighten the socket.

Used for:

• Joining galvanised pipe of different sizes
• Tank and pump connections
• Stand pipes and garden taps
• Borehole lines
