Expansion (sleeve) anchor bolt, 6 x 55mm, for heavy fixings into brick and concrete. Drill a 12mm hole.
Description
A steel bolt inside an expanding sleeve. Tightening the nut pulls a cone into the sleeve, which expands and locks the anchor into the masonry.
Drill a 12mm hole a little deeper than the anchor, blow out the dust, tap the anchor in through the fitting and tighten.
Use it in solid brick or concrete, not in hollow blocks.
Used for:
- Fixing gates, burglar bars and brackets to walls
- Mounting shelving, cabinets and handrails
- Fixing equipment and frames to concrete floors
Not for hollow walls or ceiling boards.
