Description

A replacement wooden handle for a club (lump) hammer, for fitting when the old handle is cracked, split or loose. A sound handle matters on a heavy hammer, as a loose or broken handle can let the head fly off. Check the eye size and shape of the hammer head against the handle before fitting.

Remove the old handle and wedge, fit the new handle firmly into the head, trim the end and drive in a wedge to lock it. Check it is tight before each use.
