Description
A compact brass ball valve with a lever handle, threaded male on one end and female on the other. A quarter turn opens or shuts it fully, so it is quick to isolate a fitting for repairs.
The small body fits in tight spots behind appliances and under basins. Seal the threads with PTFE tape and hold the valve body with a spanner while you tighten, so you do not twist it.
Used for:
- Isolating taps and mixers
- Washing machine and dishwasher points
- Short branches and garden taps
- Replacing a seized isolating valve
Not for: Throttling flow for long periods – run a ball valve fully open or fully shut.
