A GAV conical barrel nipple, 3/8″ BSP male both ends, for joining two female air fittings on compressors and air lines.
Description
A short double-male nipple from GAV, made in Italy, with a 3/8″ BSP taper thread on each end. Listed dimensions: 28 mm long with a 14 mm spanner hex. Use it to join a female coupler, regulator or manifold port to another female fitting.
Wrap both threads with PTFE tape or use a thread sealant, and hold the hex with a 14 mm spanner while tightening so the joint does not twist. Check the joint for leaks with soapy water.
Used for:
- Fitting couplers to compressor outlets
- Connecting regulators and filters
- Building air line manifolds
