115mm Pro-X flap disc with a 22mm bore in grits 40, 60, 80 and 120, for grinding and finishing in one step.
Description
A flap disc made from overlapping abrasive flaps on a rigid backing. It fits a 115mm angle grinder and grinds and finishes in one step, leaving a smoother surface than a grinding disc and running cooler.
Hold it at a shallow angle of about 5–15° to the work. Use grit 40 for heavy stock removal, 60–80 for weld blending and 120 for finishing. Check that the maximum speed marked on the disc is at least the no-load speed of your machine, keep the guard on, and wear eye protection, gloves and a dust mask.
Used for:
- Blending and dressing welds
- Removing rust, paint and burrs
- Deburring and finishing steel
