Eureka titanium-coated flat spade bits for fast, rough boring of larger holes in wood. 12mm to 19mm.
Description
Spade bits are a simple, inexpensive way to bore larger holes in timber quickly. They cannot be used to widen an existing hole.
Use a slow speed with a pumping, stop-start action to clear chips and prevent overheating. To avoid a ragged exit, clamp a backing block behind the work or finish from the other side once the point breaks through.
Not ideal for heavily grained wood.
Used for:
- Cable and pipe holes through studs and joists
- Holes for locks and fittings
- General carpentry and DIY
Not for metal or masonry, or for widening holes.
Sold each, in a Eureka retail blister pack.
