Eureka titanium nitride-coated HSS drill bit for steel, aluminium and other metals. Sizes 1.5mm to 6mm.
Description
An HSS bit with a thin titanium nitride coating that makes it harder and sharper than a plain black HSS bit. Eureka rates it at about five times the life of HSS black bits when used correctly.
Keep the speed low and lubricate the tip to keep it cool. Once sharpened, the edge loses the benefit of the coating.
It also drills wood and plastics.
Used for:
- Drilling mild steel, aluminium and copper
- Sheet metal and steel sections
- Pilot holes for self-tapping screws
- Wood and plastics
Not for masonry or concrete; use cobalt for stainless steel.
