Eureka spear-point drill bit for drilling glass and ceramic wall tiles. Sizes 5mm to 8mm.
Description
A carbide spear-point bit for drilling clean holes in ceramic tile and glass.
Drill at low speed with medium pressure and keep the tip cool with water. Never use hammer action. Stick masking tape over the spot so the bit does not wander, and switch to a masonry bit once you are through the tile.
Ordinary tile bits will not drill porcelain; use a diamond bit for that.
Mark the spot, start slowly and keep a little water on the tip until you are through.
Used for:
- Fixing bathroom accessories to tiled walls
- Holes for wall plugs in kitchen tiles
- Drilling mirrors and glass panels
Not for porcelain tiles or toughened glass.
