Eureka Cup Square Bolt & Nut, Galvanised

Description

A cup square bolt has a smooth domed head with a square shoulder underneath. As you tighten the nut, the square pulls into the timber and stops the bolt spinning, so you only need one spanner and the outside face is left smooth with nothing to snag on.

Eureka lists them for garden bench slats, timber frames, roofing work and joining metal to wood. Drill a hole the same size as the bolt, tap it through and fit the washer and nut on the far side. The size is diameter x length.
