Emjay Poly Socket 1/2″ BSP

Description

The 1/2″ size of the Emjay poly threaded socket, with a 1/2″ BSP female thread at each end. Microjet build it with an interrupted thread: a stop in the middle keeps the socket from screwing right through the male fitting, so both halves carry the same 2° BSP taper. An octagonal nut on each end gives a good grip for hand or spanner tightening and reduces flaring if it is over-tightened.

Like the rest of the Emjay poly threaded range it is moulded from black polypropylene with carbon black for UV resistance. Wrap the male threads with PTFE tape and tighten firmly without forcing. If you need a through-thread socket instead, ask for the Emjay nylon socket.

Used for:

• Joining 1/2″ male-threaded nipples, valves and adaptors
• Tap, hose and sprinkler take-offs
• Small irrigation manifolds
