Emjay Insert Female Combination Tee

Description

The Emjay insert female combination tee (P x FI) has two barbed straight legs that push into polyethylene pipe and a female BSP threaded branch. Emjay lists it for fitting a sprinkler, standpipe or other accessory with a male thread to a pipeline, for example a pop-up sprinkler on a lateral line. Emjay fittings are made from black nylon with carbon black for UV resistance and a barb design that grips the pipe.

Push the barbed ends fully into the pipe (warming the pipe end in hot water helps) and fit a hose clamp over each barb so the joint cannot blow off under pressure. Wrap the male thread of the sprinkler or fitting with PTFE tape before screwing it in.
