Description
A steel hacksaw frame taking standard hacksaw blades, tensioned with the wing nut.
Fit the blade with teeth pointing forward and keep it tight. Use a 24 TPI blade for thin tube and sheet and an 18 TPI blade for thicker bar, and let the saw do the work with long, steady strokes. Keep spare blades handy as they snap if twisted.
Used for:
- Cutting steel bar, tube and bolts
- Cutting PVC and copper pipe
- General workshop metal cutting
- Cutting threaded rod and studs
- Trimming steel brackets and angle
- Plumbing pipe cutting
