Sword Hacksaw Blade

Description

A standard replacement blade for a hand hacksaw frame. Pick the tooth count to suit the material: 18 TPI cuts faster in thicker mild steel, solid bar and plastic pipe, while 24 TPI gives a smoother cut in thinner tube, sheet and conduit.

As a rule, keep at least three teeth on the material at all times. Fit the blade with the teeth pointing away from the handle, tension it firmly, and let the forward stroke do the cutting.

Used for:

• Cutting mild steel tube, rod and angle
• Cutting PVC and copper pipe
• Trimming bolts and threaded rod

Not for hardened steel or masonry.
