SDS-Plus Masonry Drill Bit
Price range: R44.90 through R166.90 incl. VAT
Carbide-tipped SDS-Plus drill bits for rotary hammers, for concrete, brick and block. Sizes 6 x 160mm to 16 x 450mm.
Description
SDS-Plus bits have a slotted shank that clicks into the chuck of a rotary hammer without a key. The bit slides back and forth in the chuck, so the hammer blow goes straight into the carbide tip and drills concrete much faster than a round-shank bit in a hammer drill.
The size is tip diameter x overall length. Short 160mm bits suit anchors and plugs; 210 and 260mm bits reach through plaster and into the wall behind, and the 400 and 450mm lengths go right through a cavity or double brick wall for pipes and cables. Grease the shank lightly and wear eye and ear protection.
Used for:
- Anchors and rawl bolts in concrete
- Drilling through walls for pipes and cables
- Deep holes in brick and block
Not for ordinary drill chucks.
Sold each.
