Threaded reducer, male x female, in 3/8″ x 1/4″ or 1/2″ x 3/8″.
Description
A threaded reducer with a male thread on the larger end and a female thread on the smaller end. It is used to step down from one thread size to the next, for example to fit a smaller valve, gauge or nipple to a larger port.
Seal the threads with PTFE tape or thread paste and tighten with a spanner.
Used for:
- Compressor and air line fittings
- Gauges, valves and small water fittings
- Adapting fittings to the next size down
