White 16 A three-pin plug top with hollow pins, for fitting to an appliance or extension lead cable.
Description
A rewirable 16 A plug top for the South African large three-pin (SANS 164-1 type M) socket. The hollow pins keep the plug light, and the cord grip clamps the cable sheath so the conductors are not strained.
Strip the cable carefully, connect live (brown) to L, neutral (blue) to N and earth (green/yellow) to E, tighten the terminals and the cord grip, and refit the cover. If in doubt, use a qualified electrician.
Used for:
- Replacing a damaged plug on an appliance
- Making up extension leads
- Fitting plugs to power tools
