Pick Handle Wood 1st Grade

Description

A first-grade handle is made from straight-grained wood with fewer knots and defects, so it is less likely to snap under the shock of a pick strike. Our stock data does not give the length, timber type or maker.

Push the handle up through the eye of the pick head from the thin end until it wedges tight on the taper. Check it is snug before use, and keep it out of the sun and rain when not in use so the wood does not shrink and loosen.

Used for:

• Replacing a broken pick handle
• Spare handle for trenching and digging tools
• Building sites and farms
