Mitco Centre Punch 5 x 120mm
R60.90 incl. VAT
A Mitco 5 mm centre punch, 120 mm long, for marking hole centres in metal before drilling.
Description
A centre punch from Mitco, the Brits-based tool maker, in the 5.0 x 120 mm size of their centre punch range. A tap with a hammer leaves a small cone-shaped dent that stops the drill bit from wandering when you start a hole.
Hold the punch upright on the marked spot and give one firm tap with a ball-pein or engineer’s hammer. Regrind the point at its original angle when it gets blunt, and wear safety glasses.
Used for:
- Marking hole centres on steel and aluminium
- Starting holes in brackets and flat bar
- Marking layout points for fabrication
Not for: driving out pins. Use a pin punch.
Single punch. Sold each.
