Wooden joinery dowel, 8mm diameter x 40mm long, for strong glued joints in cabinets, furniture and shelving.
Description
Dowels align and strengthen joints between panels or frame parts. They are glued into matching holes in both pieces, so the joint cannot slide or twist.
Drill 8mm holes a little deeper than half the dowel length in each piece, add wood glue, tap the dowels in and clamp the joint until the glue sets. A dowelling jig helps keep holes lined up.

- Cabinet and carcass joints
- Furniture repairs
- Shelving, frames and tabletops
