Description
Turpentine is the solvent used to thin solvent-based (oil) enamels, varnishes and wood finishes, and to clean brushes, rollers and tools after using them.
Follow the paint maker's thinning ratio on the tin – too much solvent weakens the finish. It also lifts fresh paint spills, grease and sticky residue off most hard surfaces.
Used for:
- Thinning enamel paints and varnishes
- Cleaning brushes and rollers
- Wiping down timber before coating
- Removing fresh oil paint spills
Not for: Water-based acrylics and PVAs – clean those up with water.
750ml bottle. Flammable – use with good ventilation, keep away from flames and out of reach of children, and store tightly closed.
