M6 threaded insert nut with a lip, 15mm or 20mm long, for giving wood or board a strong machine-screw thread.
Description
An insert nut gives timber, chipboard or MDF a steel M6 thread, so furniture parts, legs and fittings can be bolted on and taken off many times without wearing the hole.
Drill the hole to the size recommended for the insert, then screw or tap it in until the lip sits flush with the surface.
Used for:
- Furniture legs and knock-down joints
- Jigs, fixtures and workshop builds
- Speaker boxes and cabinetry
