Steel prong-type tee nut, M6 thread with a 13mm barrel, for a strong threaded socket in timber and board.
Description
A tee nut has a threaded barrel and a flat flange with prongs. Drill a hole the size of the barrel from the back, tap the tee nut in so the prongs bite into the wood, then bolt through from the front with an M6 bolt.
The 13mm barrel suits thicker boards than our M6 x 10mm tee nut. It gives a thread that can be undone and re-tightened many times, which wood screws cannot.
Used for:
- Furniture, beds and knock-down cabinets
- Adjustable feet and levelling glides
- Workbench jigs and climbing wall holds
