Flat zinc-plated steel striker plate for door latches and locks.
Description
A flat steel striker (keep) plate, zinc plated, that screws into the door frame where the latch or bolt of a lock closes. A new striker fixes doors that will not latch or rattle when shut. We also stock L-shaped striker plates.
Hold it against the frame to mark the latch hole, chisel the recess so it sits flush and screw it in with screws long enough to reach solid timber.
Used for:
- Doors that will not latch
- Replacing worn keeps
- New locks
