Flexible silicone-insulated wire, sold per metre in 1.5mm² black or 2.5mm² red, for high-temperature and flexible wiring.
Description
Silicone insulation stays soft and flexible and handles much higher temperatures than ordinary PVC, so this wire suits ovens, heaters, lamps and hot engine bays.
It is also very flexible, which helps in tight spaces and on battery and solar connections. Silicone is softer than PVC, so protect it from sharp edges and abrasion.
Used for:
- Oven, stove and heater element wiring
- Lamp and light fitting wiring
- Battery, solar and vehicle wiring
Electrical installation work must be done by a qualified electrician and must comply with SANS 10142-1.
