KonstruktIt SA Pine Brandering 38 x 38mm

Description

38 x 38mm sized SA pine is the standard section for ceiling brandering and tile battens on South African sites. Typical grade is S5 structural where supplied.

Fix with 75mm wire nails into the supporting timber. Ceiling brandering is usually at 450mm centres or less for gypsum board; batten centres follow the roof tile maker. Ask about treated (H2) stock when you order.

Used for:

• Ceiling brandering under gypsum board
• Roof tile and slate battens
• Cross-brandering
• Light bracing and packing

Not for: rafters or studs – use 38 x 114 or 38 x 76.
