Description
An S-trap holds a water seal under a basin or sink to keep drain smells out. This resealing type is designed to keep its seal when the waste run tries to siphon it dry, which a plain trap can lose.
An S-trap suits a waste that drops through the floor; for a waste going into the wall, use a P-trap. It is listed as 32 x 40mm – check the size against your basin waste and outlet pipe before fitting.
Used for:
- Basin and vanity wastes
- Replacing leaking or smelly traps
- Sinks with a floor outlet
- Bathroom renovations
Not for: Wastes that go out through the wall – use a P-trap.
Sold each. Hand-tighten plastic nuts; do not use thread sealant on the trap washers.
