Magnetic 5/16″ (8mm) nut setter, 65mm long, for driving hex-head roof screws and Tek screws with a drill or impact driver.
Description
A 65mm magnetic nut setter with a 1/4″ hex shank and a 5/16″ (8mm) socket, the size for most hex-head roofing and Tek screws. The magnet holds the screw in the socket so you can start it one-handed on the roof sheet.
Use it in a drill or impact driver with the clutch set so the washer is just compressed, not crushed. Knock out metal filings that build up on the magnet.
Used for:
- Fixing roof sheeting with hex-head screws
- Tek screws into steel purlins
- Fixing IBR and corrugated sheets
