Internal circlip (retaining ring) that snaps into a groove inside a bore to hold a bearing, bush or shaft part in place.
Description
An internal circlip sits in a groove cut inside a hole or housing. Squeezed closed with circlip pliers, it springs out into the groove and stops a bearing, bush or seal from sliding out. It is the inside-the-bore partner to our external circlips, which grip a groove on a shaft.
The size is the bore diameter it suits, so measure the hole, not the groove. Use proper internal circlip pliers with the tips in the eyes, and fit a new clip if the old one has lost its spring or been bent open.

- Bearing housings on pumps, mowers and motors
- Wheel and pulley hubs
- Gearbox and machine repairs
