High-tensile grade 8.8 zinc-plated hex set screws (fully threaded bolts), from M6 x 25mm to M14 x 30mm, for machinery, brackets and structural steel.
Description
A set screw is a hex head bolt threaded right up to the head, used with a nut or into a tapped hole. Grade 8.8 is high-tensile steel, much stronger than ordinary mild steel bolts, for machinery, trailers and steelwork.
The size is the thread diameter x length under the head. Use a washer under the nut, and a spring washer or nylock nut where there is vibration. Zinc plating gives light rust protection for indoor and sheltered use.
