Description

Heat shrink tubing shrinks tightly around a joint when heated, insulating and protecting it from moisture and wear. The size is the diameter before shrinking.

Choose a size that slides easily over the joint, cut it longer than the bare section and shrink it with a heat gun, moving the heat evenly along the tube. Avoid an open flame, which can scorch the tube.

Used for:

• Insulating soldered and crimped wire joints
• Tidying and colour-marking cable ends
• Repairing damaged cable insulation
