KonstruktIt GP Wire 4mm², Red – Per Metre
R19.90 incl. VAT
Red single-core GP house wire, 4mm², sold per metre for heavier circuits run in conduit.
Description
General-purpose (GP) wire is single-core, PVC-insulated copper conductor pulled through conduit or trunking. The 4mm² size carries more current than the 2.5mm² used on plug circuits, so it is used for heavier loads such as stove, geyser or sub-board feeds where the circuit design calls for it. Red marks the live conductor.
Size cable to the breaker and the length of the run, not by guesswork. Strip with a proper stripper so the copper strands are not nicked.
Used for:
- Stove, geyser and heavier appliance circuits
- Feeds to sub-distribution boards
- Wiring in conduit and trunking
Electrical installation work must be done by a qualified electrician and must comply with SANS 10142-1.
Sold per metre, cut from the coil.
