Green/Yellow single-core GP (general purpose) house wire, 1.5mm², sold per metre for wiring in conduit.
Description
GP wire is single-core PVC-insulated copper wire, pulled through conduit to wire house circuits. 1.5mm² is the usual size for lighting circuits.
The green/yellow colour is reserved for earth conductors.
Cut and strip carefully so the copper is not nicked, and keep the conductors inside conduit or trunking.
Used for:
- Wiring in conduit for house circuits
- DB board and distribution wiring
- Repairs and extensions to existing circuits
Electrical installation work must be done by a qualified electrician and must comply with SANS 10142-1.
Sold per metre, cut from the coil.
