Galvanised steel socket (coupling), in 1/2″ or 1 1/4″, for joining two male-threaded pipes in a straight line.
Description
Galvanised steel threaded fittings for water pipework, plus repairs and extensions to older galvanised lines. Hold the mating fitting so the run does not twist. Seal the threads with PTFE tape or thread paste and tighten with pipe wrenches.
A socket has female threads at both ends, to join two lengths of threaded pipe or to extend a run.
Galvanised fittings are tough and suit exposed and outdoor pipework.
Used for:
- Galvanised water pipework
- Outdoor and exposed pipe runs
- Repairs to existing lines
