15mm galvanised equal tee for branching galvanised water pipe.
Description
A 15mm (1/2″) galvanised steel equal tee, for branching a galvanised water pipe run into two, for example to add a garden tap or standpipe. Galvanising protects the steel from rust outdoors and in the ground. Turn off the water before working and check the joint for leaks once the water is back on.
Seal the male threads with PTFE tape or thread sealant and tighten with pipe wrenches, holding the tee so it does not turn the other joints.

- Standpipes
