Description

An extension box mounts on the wall surface and takes a standard 2 x 4 or 4 x 4 switch or socket. It lets you add a point or move one without chasing the wall, often used with trunking or conduit.

Fix it to the wall with screws and plugs and bring the cable in through a knock-out. Make sure the switch or socket matches the box size.

Used for:

• Surface-mounted plug points and switches
• Garages, workshops and outbuildings
• Adding points with trunking or conduit

Installation should be done by a qualified electrician.
