Steel corner bracket (angle brace) for strengthening and joining timber at right angles.
Description
An L-shaped steel bracket with pre-drilled holes. Screw it into the inside corner of a joint to stop it racking.
The small 25mm size suits drawers and light frames; the 50mm size suits shelves, frames and furniture repairs.
Use countersunk wood screws that fill the holes, and keep them short enough not to break through the face of the timber. Fit one bracket per corner, or two on heavier frames.
Used for:
- Strengthening table, chair and cabinet joints
- Shelf and frame corners
- Repairing loose furniture joints
- Light timber framing
- Fixing shelf boards to side panels
