KonstruktIt Capillary Coupler, Male Iron x Copper (MI x C)
Price range: R12.90 through R21.90 incl. VAT
Capillary-to-male-thread adaptor (MI x C) for joining soldered copper pipe to a female threaded fitting. In 15mm x 1/2″ and 22mm x 3/4″.
Description
One end is a capillary (solder) socket for copper pipe; the other is a male BSP thread. It is the standard way to go from copper pipe into a threaded tap, valve or geyser fitting.
Solder the copper side first and let it cool, then seal the thread with PTFE tape and tighten into the female fitting.
Match the pipe size and thread size to your job.
Used for:
- Connecting copper pipe to stopcocks and gate valves
- Geyser inlet and outlet connections
- Wall-mounted tap and shower connections
- Pipe repairs where copper meets threaded fittings
Needs soldering: use a compression adaptor if you cannot use a torch.
Sold each.
