Capillary-to-female-thread adaptor (FI x C) for joining soldered copper pipe to a male threaded fitting. In 15mm x 1/2″ and 22mm x 3/4″.
Description
One end is a capillary (solder) socket for copper pipe; the other is a female BSP thread. Use it where copper pipe must connect to a male thread, such as a tap tail, nipple or valve.
Solder the copper side first and let it cool, then seal the male thread with PTFE tape and tighten.
Match the pipe size and thread size to your job.
Used for:
- Connecting copper pipe to barrel nipples and male valve ends
- Tap and mixer connections
- Geyser and pump connections
- Copper-to-galvanised pipe changeovers
Needs soldering: use a compression adaptor if you cannot use a torch.
