Description

A small barrel adjuster nut for calliper brakes. Turning it takes up slack in the brake cable as the blocks wear, without undoing the cable clamp.

Turn it out to tighten the brake and in to loosen it, then lock it with its lock ring. Check the size or fitting on the old part before buying, and take it along to the shop if you are unsure. If you are not confident working on brakes, have a bicycle mechanic fit and adjust them.

• Taking up brake cable slack
• Replacing a lost or damaged adjuster
• Calliper brake servicing
