Bonded sealing washer, 6 x 26mm: a wide steel-and-rubber washer for watertight screw fixings on roofs.
Description
A steel washer with a rubber seal bonded underneath. The wider 26mm face spreads the load and seals over a bigger area than smaller washers.
Suits 6mm screws and bolts.
Fit the washer with the rubber side against the sheet, then drive the screw until the rubber just starts to bulge at the edge.
Used for:
- Roof sheeting and flashing screws
- Sealing fixings through polycarbonate and fibreglass sheets
- Carports, sheds and lean-tos
- Replacing perished roof washers
- Sealing bolts on water tanks and stands
Do not overtighten: a crushed seal will leak.
