Screw-on 6-speed freewheel, 14 to 28 teeth, for rear hubs with a threaded freewheel fitting.
Description
A 6-speed screw-on freewheel with cogs from 14 to 28 teeth. It threads onto the rear hub of bikes that use a freewheel rather than a cassette.
Remove the old freewheel with the correct removal tool, grease the hub thread and screw the new one on by hand; pedalling tightens it. Fit a new chain at the same time if the old one is worn.
Used for:
- Replacing a worn or slipping freewheel
- 6-speed mountain and commuter bikes
- Rebuilding a rear wheel
Not for cassette hubs.
